hi, i'm JESS
What I love and am passionate about is yoga (surprise!). It's also bringing people to the truely amazing and life changing practice of yoga, together in the community. I'm not a former dancer or gymnast and I'm sure I'm not the most flexible person you've ever seen, but I'm real and I want to share my passion of yoga with you.
I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years and completed my Yoga Teacher Training (Authorised Level 1 Yoga Australia), through a one-on-one 12 month apprenticeship with Alyson Johnson (Thirroul Yoga Shala) in the Ashtanga Yoga tradition. I have since continued to further my knowledge through additional study in anatomy, asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy and post-natal yoga with many wonderful teachers throughout Australia.
I teach a dynamic, heating yoga practice drawing from the ashtanga yoga tradition, where the emphasis is on moving the body in line with the breath. I provide a safe, supportive environment and offer modifications where necessary. I encourage you to work only to your own capabilities, letting go of the 'ideal' and letting the breath be your guide.
As well as a yoga teacher, I am a wife and mum to two kids who are awesome, but who sometimes drive me bonkers (cue yoga!!). I love laughing and being a little bit silly and I try not to take life too seriously. Come and join me! You will never regret beginning the path through life as a student of yoga. I look forward to meeting you on the mat
